Position Purpose

The Field Services Technology Specialist will serve as a subject matter expert focused on supporting, building and advancing Sleep Number's field service systems and capabilities. They will be a direct point of contact for field technicians and leaders. The technology specialist will partner closely with cross functional teams to ensure quality execution and continuous platform progression. They will be joining a dedicated team focused on improving the user experience as well as building opportunities to continuously improve core functions and business processes surrounding field services.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Designated as the single point of contact for all system related support needs for Technicians, Field Leaders, and Corporate support partners
  • Provides subject matter expertise on processes and systems, through leadership and best practices
  • Triages, troubleshoots and resolves incidents and problems to maintain high availability, stability and reliability of field systems
  • Partners with business teams to understand strategy and objectives
  • Partners with project team to develop user stories, acceptance criteria and test cases to facilitate end-to-end solution delivery
  • Works with innovation and experimentation mindset. Validates solutions using proof of concepts, and a test and learn approach to drive continuous value
  • Assists with identifying and supporting project deliverables and milestones
  • Identify continuous improvement or enhancement projects within the platform to better our customer experience and business results

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred
  • Industry experience or background in field service scheduling, routing, dispatch management, territory management, preferred but not required
  • Strong analytical skills, collaborative and problem-solving mindset, and technical aptitude
  • Functional leadership and/or project management experience on medium and large-scale projects
  • Excellent organizational skills – ability to prioritize – multi-task oriented
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects - planning and task delegation
  • Ability to think critically and tactically in a high energy, fast paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Experience in working with globally dispersed teams
  • Experience with software, hardware and / or a connected software product platform desired
