Sales Intern – US Events, CSC & B2B

Job Location Minneapolis, Minnesota

Position Purpose

The Sales Intern – US Events & B2B will work with the Events and B2B teams to develop communications content, formulate and implement projects and process improvements, and interact with our store teams.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Working within both the US Events and the B2B teams to assist with a wide variety of projects, to include, but not limited to:
    • Support Events Marketing Specialist on sponsorship deliverables for large fairs and home shows
    • Partner with Marketing to explore additional support for National Events
    • Local Event registration
    • Commercial New system inputs/testing
    • New business analytics/strategy
    • Quantitative analytics of existing businesses/sales

Position Requirements

Experience, Education & Certifications:

  • Currently enrolled at an accredited university; must be at a Junior or Senior level student
  • Working towards completion of Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, marketing, communications or related field
  • Excellent attention to detail

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Manage and prioritize multiple tasks. using sound judgment and critical thinking
  • Highly motivated to succeed, fast learner, team player with positive attitude
  • High level of integrity, professional attitude, reliable and dependable
  • Strong analytical, structured problem solving and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude and ability to work well within a team environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Aptitude for learning new technologies and systems

Working Conditions (if applicable)

  • Ability to work up to 40 hours per week (Full-Time). 
  • While the Sales Operations Team is flexible in accommodating interns’ class schedules, a weekly and daily fixed schedule is to be defined and adhered.  Deviations from the schedule are to be handled on an as-needed basis, and clearly communicated with, and approved by, the manager prior to each event.
