Project Manager, Product Planning
ApplyThe Project Manager, Product Planning will develop and execute a roadmap of system and process initiatives to advance capabilities for future growth of Sleep Number's Bedding team. The role will represent Bedding in the organization and lead system optimization projects in partnership with Supply Chain, Technology and other cross-functional partners. This Project Manager will serve as the Bedding subject matter expert and cross-functional partner to enhance inventory/IT structure to progress the customer experience..
Primary Responsibilities
Drive a multi-phase roadmap for the Bedding technology strategy and represent Bedding within Enterprise initiatives to advance our customer experience
Continuous collaboration with cross functional partners to incorporate feature requests into product roadmap and prioritize the work including backlog and ticket management as well as change management and Oracle system implementation
Lead and actively contribute on the work from concept to completion and rollout, with partnership across multiple departments and teams
Develop user stories and define acceptance criteria
Analyze preferences and requests of end users
Lead status meetings, tracks, maintains detailed issues and risks lists, and prepares appropriate project meeting minutes and status reports
Meets regularly with other related areas to ensure that integration issues are identified and resolved
Position Requirements
4 years of work experience as a Product Manager or similar role in product management or project management with technical background with strong knowledge of Oracle
2-4 years of experience within retail planning environment
Bachelors degree required
Highly proficient in MS Excel skills required
Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing deadlines and multiple priorities
Excellent follow-up and organizational skills; drive execution with strong attention to detail
Strong problem-solving skills
Team-oriented and strong interpersonal skills; ability to build trust, rapport and influence others within the team and cross-functional teams
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong business acumen to provide meaningful insights to drive performance and increase value of partnership with the business
Working Conditions
Travel as required
Potential of non-business hour work (nights, weekends, holidays) for business-critical work
