Position Purpose

The Product DevelopmentManager, SleepIQ Consumer Application will support the execution of the SleepIQ technology platform while bringing new features and value to the customer. This Product Development Manager will have a passion to help our customer get better sleep and improve their overall well-being through the SleepIQ digital platform. The individual in this role will be responsible for supporting the daily product development activities with the business and engineering teams, while supporting the vision for the product. The Product Development Manager will collaborate with the teams addressing daily prioritization needs, providing real-time feedback, and answering questions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Champion the SleepIQ consumer app customer experience
  • Represent the customer voice through discussions with engineering teams
  • Guide new feature development and consumer in-app messaging through understanding and empathizing with the customer
  • Champion customer experience strategy with leadership
  • Support employee and consumer testing to validate customer experience
  • Evaluate feature engagement through customer experience usage data and analytics
  • Create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog with engineering team
  • Support feature business case development activities through customer experience requirements and ROI calculation
  • Partner effectively with engineering squads across iOT platform, understanding interdependencies to deliver quality customer experience
  • Prioritize product backlog as input to sprint planning and ensure sprint output quality
  • Document epic and user stories to clearly define customer experience
  • Ensure backlog aligns with product strategy and vision
  • Ensure backlog aligns with product strategy and vision
  • Drive technical integration by understanding application and API architecture and interdependencies
  • Understand data and content flow considerations for new feature development
  • Facilitate stakeholder and team communications
  • Partner effectively with global, agile, engineering teams to support development activities\
  • Collaborate with product and program stakeholders to ensure appropriate input on customer experience and product strategy
  • Work together with cross functional business teams to support product experience, communications, and training
  • Support the development and management of program level project plan
  • Provide input to customer experience progression and project plans as input to release readiness
  • Coordinate operating mechanisms (meetings, shared documents, ext.) in support of product feature progression

Position Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development environment, with a focus as the product owner role
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Software development and digital experience required; focus on mobile app development desired including iOS, Android, and web platforms
  • Experience working in both waterfall and agile development methodologies
  • Previous experience or knowledge with Jira, Figma, Test Rail, REST API desired
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of projects; specifically, Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Strong communicator who can digest technical details and elevate it to match the audience
  • Strong tactical executer with exceptional organizational skills
  • Strong critical thinker that understands the dependencies across projects within program level planning
  • and timelines
  • Self-starter who is comfortable driving key cross-functional product initiatives with the holistic customer experience at the cornerstone of the work
  • iOT platform knowledge and curiosity
  • Understanding of connected cloud-based product platforms
  • Ability to travel 10% - 15% of the time
