Human Resources Business Partner Specialist
ApplyPosition Purpose:
Sleep Number is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner Specialist to support our Sales and Services Business Partner teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Liaison to talent acquisition team with support for open requisitions
- Partnering with HRBPs, coordinate and streamline the execution of Human Resources programs (employee engagement, performance management, talent planning processes)
- Create and continuously improve leader tools and processes
- Partner with leaders and team members on onboarding and off-boarding processes
- Support entry of data and ensure data integrity and accuracy in Workday
- Respond to requests for information; troubleshoots issues, follow up and responds to team member inquiries
- Document Standard Operating Procedures for the Human Resources Business Partner team
- Provide response to unemployment claims
- Function as a backup to HRBPs during PTO and in workload overflow situations
Performs related duties and developmental projects as assigned

Position Requirements:
- 2-3 years of Human Resources experience, including addressing employee concerns and questions desired
- Knowledge of Human Resources related policies, procedures, regulations, trends required; some talent selection experience preferred
- Bachelor degree required; degree in Human Resources Management preferred
- S/PHR preferred
- Prior experience in Workday (HRIS) preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong experience in using MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point
- Readily adapts to changing or ambiguous situations
- Excellent communication, problem solving, critical thinking and influencing skills
- Ability to apply critical solutions to business challenges
- Ability and experience in handling team member relations
- Ability to organize and prioritize work, meet deadlines and work independently
- Detail oriented
- High integrity and ability to deal with confidential information
- Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment
- Excellent communication skills
Working Conditions:
- Typical office environment, with the need to work on a computer 8+ hours per day either sitting or standing
- Sleep Number's corporate team members are currently working from home, so the ability to work remotely is required.
