HR Specialist


Position Purpose

Provide Human Resources operations and project support to ensure efficient execution of Human Resources processes and business partner functions. Provide business partner support to level 1/lower complexity business groups or on an ad hoc basis. 

Primary Responsibilities

Business Partner Support (50%)

  • Responsible for Human Resources Business Partner support for level 1 / lower complexity businesses or ad hoc team member relations issues
  • Assist with level 1 / lower complexity businesses talent selection process
  • Function as a backup to HRBPs during PTO and in workload overflow situations
  • Liaison to talent acquisition team with support for open requisitions
  • Coordinate and streamline of Human Resources programs (employee engagement, performance management, talent planning processes)
  • Create and continuously improve leader tools and processes
  • Partner with leaders and team members on onboarding and off-boarding processes
  • Support immigration work, coordinating with HRBPs, team members, and outside legal counsel

Operational Support (50%)

  • Support entry of data and ensure data integrity and accuracy in Workday
  • Respond to requests for information; troubleshoots issues, follow up and responds to team member inquiries
  • Document Standard Operating Procedures for the Human Resources Business Partner team
  • Provide response to unemployment claims

Performs related duties and developmental projects as assigned

Position Requirements

  • 2-3 years of Human Resources experience, including addressing employee concerns and questions desired
  • Knowledge of Human Resources related policies, procedures, regulations, trends required; some talent selection experience preferred
  • Bachelor degree required; degree in Human Resources Management preferred
  • S/PHR preferred
  • Some experience with immigration processes preferred
  • Prior experience in Workday (HRIS) preferred
  • Strong experience in using MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Readily adapts to changing or ambiguous situations
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, critical thinking and influencing skills
  • Ability to apply critical solutions to business challenges 
  • Ability and experience in handling team member relations
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work, meet deadlines and work independently
  • Detail oriented
  • High integrity and ability to deal with confidential information
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Excellent communication skills
