Bedding Collection Planner

The Bedding Collection Planner will inspect, analyze and develop business opportunities for the Bedding Collection assortment that maximize profitable sales and productivity. Monitor and place orders weekly ensuring proper inventory levels to support sales and store presentations. Identify potential inventory risks/opportunities and make recommendations to mitigate. Execute weekly/daily reporting and maintain data integrity. Ensure a premier customer experience by developing impactful in store presentations and guaranteeing all Bedding Collection purchases are available in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Drive inventory replenishment process
    • Manage replenishment process by channel, place orders weekly, monitor for discrepancies against forecast
    • Identify potential inventory risks/opportunities and take action/make recommendations to mitigate
    • Create vendor forecasts that support sales trends, store needs and promotional events
    • Achieve in stock goals by providing vendor partners with accurate inventory forecasts
    • Deliver a premier customer experience guaranteeing all Bedding Collection purchases are available in a timely manner
  • Analytics and Process
    • Identify opportunities and make recommendations for sales/profit growth and improve productivity
    • Make recommendations on SKU level additions and edits thru analysis and merchandising strategies
    • Create and maintain tools for category, item and location analysis
    • Mange product launches and edits. Partner with teams to create profitable exit strategies for discontinued product
    • Drive IT projects to advance system capabilities
  • Create smooth operational flow with all cross-functional partners
    • Maintain strong partnership with vendors to ensure deliveries and commits are fulfilled
    • Partner with teams to create merchandise presentations that convey big ideas and drive company priorities across channels
    • Maintain location data and merchandising plans
    • Partner with internal teams to resolved inventory/payment discrepancies
    • Provide communication, direction and support to internal teams as required

Qualifications/Requirements

  • BA/ BS degree: preferable in business or merchandising
  • 3+ years planning experience
  • Strong Excel skills; proficient in MS Office applications
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of JDA, ProSpace or other planogram software helpful
  • Requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, ever changing environment
  • Team oriented and ability to work in an integrated organization
  • Travel as required
